I love Ave Maria, reminds me of my grandmother, it was her favorite
ReplyDeleteLove the packaging ideas! Who knew! Thanks for the download link. My favorite song has to be Christmas Island. It reminds me of my childhood. My mother would always sing it.
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas Music! If I could just pick one it would have to be Silent Night. Christmas night really is a "Silent Night". Familes are in their homes, no traffic and it is so still and quite it makes the words mean so much.
ReplyDeleteI think my fav Christmas song is Angels We Have Heard On High! I love the movement of the different parts in the chorus. The wrapping ideas are gorgeous. Too bad people just rip it all off!
ReplyDelete"O, Holy Night" is my favorite. I don't care who sings it.
ReplyDeleteWith out a doubt it's "WE ARE THE WORLD WE ARE THE CHILDREN!!" brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I have to say I just "found" your site due to Tim. Absolutely wonderful, I love the past posts.
ReplyDelete"I wish you a Merry Christmas" is so true right now, but I have to say I love almost all of the christmas music, but the chipmunks.....
Your ideas are great and right up my alley.....will tune in often.
Happy Holidays. DD
Oh my; if I have to pick ONE (I'm a sickie who could listen to Christmas music 24/7/365), then I'd have to say White Christmas. Being from the snowy North and now living in S. TX, I miss the glistening, glittering fresh-fallen white snow this time of year especially. Ahhh.. The miracle of childhood memories.
ReplyDeleteHeh y'all, I was feeling a little blue (withdrawl from Tim's 12 Tags) and found this link on his website. Love the peace angel wing plaque from yesterday's post and it was just the cure I needed for my tag hangover. Thanks for the inpiration and I look forward to more visits. Favorite Christmas song? It's a toss up between Michael Bubles' "Grown Up Christmas List," Faith Hill's "A Baby Changes Everything" and Celine Dion's "Another Year Has Gone By."
ReplyDeleteoh, unfair! i do so enjoy the song that can not be named! i actually have it as my text ring tone right now :) i do, however, LOVE one other song: o holy night....i find faith hill's rendition particularly moving.
ReplyDeleteMary did you know sang by Winona Judd and Kenny Rogers. I can play it over and over.
ReplyDeleteChristmas Eve Sarajevo by the Transiberian Orchestra is my modern favorite, but I shall always love The Christmas Song. Love the gift wrap ideas.
ReplyDeletefunny you should say Feliz Navidad because that is my song that takes me right back to my little christmas with my mother. we were poor with our charlie brown christmas tree but she made the best of it for me. that song was her favorite...the louder the better!!! she has since past away but that song brings me there but i guess i'm now disqualified...
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas/Holiday song is "The Christians and the Pagans" by Dar Williams. Someone gave me that on a Christmas mix CD a couple of years ago and I just love the message behind it of how everyone in a family can get along by understanding and respecting each other's beliefs and traditions.
ReplyDeleteOk first, I'm right there w/ya on Feliz Navidad; nuf said!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many FabUlous Christmas Songs and one of my favorites is Nat King Cole's A Christmas Song. But, I just do the happy dance when I hear Christmas of Love by Little Isidor and the Inquisitors. A small part of it was featured in the Jim Carey Grinch movie when he's a boy making Martha May Hoo's Christmas present; I just love that scene. If you haven't heard it, here's a link . . .
http://littleisidore.net/rock_and_roll_music
Hope you have a FabUlous Christmas!
O'Holy Night--it has always been my favorite. But since I heard Chris Young sing it---oh boy.
ReplyDeleteI found you from Tim's blog too! Love all of your wrapping ideas and I'll definitely be spending some time here looking through more of your posts! My favorite Christmas song is a medley of Winter Wonderland, Silver Bells and White Christmas by The Carpenters. I adore the entire album it comes from. Thanks for the opportunity to win a great prize package!

ReplyDeleteMy fav is little drummer boy - the one with Bing Crosby and Sting - love that song!
ReplyDeleteThose are some great ideas on how to wrap the gifts. Many of us have the circle punch (makes circles look like doilies and many have labels and banners we can use on other pacckaging). I personally love your calandar on the craft paper. I think that looks really sharp. It has me thinking of the things I did for Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Chreistmas and I can see a few greens and some pinecones in the near future.
ReplyDeleteWhat child is this is my favorite song.. it is so pure and sweet sounding.. makes me think of the true meaning of Christmas. Listening to it at night while snow is falling is just incredible o me! Kay
ReplyDelete'Little Drummer Boy': Bing Crosby/David Bowie, "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24": Trans-Siberian Orchestra, "The Grinch","The River": Robert Downey Jr., "Same Old Lang Syne" : Dan Fogelberg
ReplyDeleteLots of paper wrapping ideas, they are so great for the season. My favorite christmas song is silent night. Thanks for sharing these great ideas

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas song...one I don't think to many people have heard is by Bing Crosby " An axe, an apple and a buckskin jacket" It's in the Christmas Story CD it is such a fun story and cute song.
ReplyDeleteO Holy Night is so simple and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteO Come All Ye Faithful. Love it.
ReplyDeleteIts hard to pick a favorite. I think we can all attach a special memory to one or another. But the song i heard today will be forever branded in my brain, sung by a group of 3, 4,& 5 year olds at the lunch table at the "Head Start" where I am the cook. "We 'Fish' you a 'HARRY' Christmas! and a 'Hippo' New Year! when they saw me looking confused they started giggling & laughing! we have such a great time!
ReplyDeleteO Holy Night is my favorite Christmas Song.
ReplyDeleteSilent Night is my favorite! Loved all of the wrapping inspiration.

ReplyDeleteSecond for fun: Bing Crosby and David Bowie, Peace On Earth.
Catherine
PS
The packages are lovely, thanks for sharing with us
My favorite Christmas song of all time is "Santa Baby" when performed by Eartha Kitt. I just love her voice and of course I'd love to have all the things she asks Santa for in the song. However, I'd surely settle for some 7Gypsies products!!!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to do this this year. Love this look. Found some shipping paper at the dollar store and was going to trim with old lace, baker's twine or jute and burlap.
ReplyDeleteFavorite Christmas song Away in a Manager.
I love how unique these are.
ReplyDeleteOh thanks so much for the 411 on how you made the flash card, was going to repurpose the WISH one I received in the spool kit!! I love Christmas music and can’t wait till Dec to start playing it, I love it when the kids sing songs especially "Mary did you know?” I think that is the name of the song.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the gift packaging ideas!
I love Rudolph The red Nose Reindeer!! and the movie too. I is a lovely and funny song!!
ReplyDeleteThe Little Drummer Boy song by Bing Crosby and David Bowie. I have wanted a copy for years and finally found it at my own store where I work.
ReplyDeleteLove "O Come, O Come Emmanuel." It is hauntingly beautiful when done right, and always moves me.
ReplyDeleteSo many new ideas for wraps. Thank-you! I WANT A HIPPOPOTAMUS FOR CHRISTMAS! I used to listen to this on an old 78 record when I was little and was so excited when Telus made it popular again a few years ago. I still listen to it on an old gramaphone at Christmas!
ReplyDeleteNew to this site. It is amazing. Love the wrapping ideas. I do not like wrapping but this year....I can't wait. My favorite Christmas song is "Cool Yule" by Louis Armstrong.

Oh Holy Night! Always...
ReplyDeletePomRomARomPom...The Little Drummer Boy...always brings a tear to my eyes on the part where...Then He Smiles At Me, PomRomARomPom!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the wrapping ideas-one year i wrapped all the gifts in brown paper or brown paper bags & tied the bows with ivory tulle-very pretty! It's hard to pick a favorite christmas song-I really like "Aspenglow" and "A Baby Just Like You" by John Denver.
ReplyDeleteTop fav Christmas Carol, Silent Night. I remember all of us kids circled around the piano singing along with Mom as she played. Beautiful song, beautiful wrapping ideas all!!
ReplyDeleteFirst off....i really enjoy your blog. You not only show the awesome things you create, you share your finds for some really cool stuff! Always inspiring. Wrapping presents is one of my favorite things to do! It gives me an excuse to buy ribbons and papers, but I also like to stamp my own papers. For me, the embellishments are key and the wrap is part of the gift. My favorite Christmas song is from Handel's Messiah.." I know that my redeemer liveth"
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of my mom, who would listen to the Messiah while we wrapped our treasures!
My favorite Christmas song is "Silver Bells" as sung by Robert Goulet. It reminds me of the good old days when my mom and dad were alive and all eight of us kids were home for Christmas. Good times!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas song is O Holy Night. It tells the Christmas story so beautifully. I love all the different wrapping ideas.
ReplyDeleteLove the gift wrap ideas! Especially the one with the vintage photo...
ReplyDeleteMy favourite carol has to be Handel's Messiah followed by Silent Night sung a cappella at night in a room lit by the tree... on Christmas Eve.
My favorite Christmas song is Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas Is you." First, because I grew up listening to Mariah and I love her old stuff, and second because I'm madly in love with my boyfriend of 5 years and it always reminds me of how lucky I am just to have him.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is "Mary did you know"....I love...love...that sound by Kenny Rodgers....or anybody who sings it....
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!!!
Foe me it's Handel's Messiah....I play it over and over while doing my holiday baking.
ReplyDeleteSilent Night is my fav! Thank you for all the great ideas! I already have my kraft wrapping paper, now I can spice it up with some of these ideas.
ReplyDelete'All I Want For Christmas Is You' is one of my favourites, reminds me of my favourite film, Love Actually. Favourite carol is 'Oh Little Town Of Bethlehem', we always have the children singing the first verse at Church, sounds so sweet!
ReplyDeleteLove all the packaging ideas! TFS!

I have about a bazillion "favourite" Christmas songs. Feliz Navidad is *not* one of them. Currently I'm totally addicted to a song called "I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas", but my all time fav is probably the David Bowie/Bing Crosby version of Little Drummer Boy.
ReplyDeleteWalking in a winter wonder land!!!! I live in the Desert and it doesn't snow, but I love that song.
ReplyDeletefavorite song... hmmmmm
ReplyDeleteI think White Christmas by Bing Crosby is a favorite. Each time it comes on the radio it makes me smile. Really tired of hearing lots of versions of 'Last Christmas I gave you my heart'.... it doesn't say CHRISTMAS to me... it just mentions Christmas kwim?
Oh my Goodness, this is what your email comment meant. Duh, I'm totally clueless but soooo glad I got here in time to enjoy four more days.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE your Peace box and your beautiful packages--for Christmas I want Santa to send me to hang out with you guys with the hope a little of your creativity will rub off!!
In answer to today's question: I love Bing Crosby's song "I'll be home for Christmas," like the beautiful lights on my Christmas tree, it touches those deep and precious memories.
Merry Christmas!
These are such lovely ways to wrap presents. I remember I used to use the coloured comic page from the newspaper to wrap gifts, oh and also brown grocery bags which I would draw on and then colour with my pencil crayons. Thanks for sharing your special ideas with us. Karen :)
ReplyDeleteIf you hate the Feliz Navidad song, you should listen to Bob River's Twisted Christmas version... Police stop my car, police stop my car..
ReplyDeleteIt's funny... you will like it.
I just stumbled across your blog, and wanted to let you know that I like your ideas. The angel wings you did previously are awesome! And the peace word is literally identical to the Peace I put on a project earlier this month.
I liked some of the ways you have simply dressed up the brown packing paper as a gift wrap. I will definetley be trying it (I have a ton on hand for kids to make book covers with!)
I am new to your site and will certainly become a follower. Love all the packaging ideas. Thanks for sharing. My favorite holiday song is the entire Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky. I even have the sheet music for it displayed during the holidays.
ReplyDeleteJean of Santa Barbara
I do simple wraps also! Love the look of brown paper with red writing or bows!
ReplyDeleteSanta Baby is one of my favorites for Christmas!
I swoon whenever I hear Bing Crosby and David Bowie singing their duet of “Little Drummer Boy” combined with “Peace on Earth”
ReplyDeleteI really love all the beautifully wrapped presents. I always use a craft paper and then all the accessories are in shiny and sparkly blues and silvers to go w/ our colors so while they sit under the tree they fit in with their surroundings so well.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas music is anything Bing Crosby sings. I can still hear my mom humming and whistling to her Bing Crosby Christmas tape singing Mele Kalikimaka, or some call it the Hawaiian Christmas song. Puts a smile on my face just thinking of it.
We are having a family reunion after Christmas and each family member had to give the organizers their favorite Christmas song that will be made into a CD. I had a tough time deciding between "The Little Drummer Boy" (an entire-life favorite) to "Mary Did You Know" sung by Heidi Joy. I ended up with "Mary Did You Know?" Loved the packaging images and congrats on T!m's shout-out about your blog.
ReplyDeleteso many to choose...love O Holy Night, Carol of the Bells (sung in Ukrainian), Silent Night, White Christmas (Bing Crosby is timeless) and I'll be home for Christmas. Always wishing my entire family could be here for the entire holiday season. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a peaceful entry into 2012. Thanks for the beautiful ideas you've shared on your blog!!!
ReplyDeleteColleen

My favorite Christmas song? O Holy Night - every time I hear it, I have to sing along and I hear my mom singing in my head as well - she has a rich second soprano and this one is one of her best songs.

My absolute favorite song is and always has been Silent Night. I love going for a walk on Christmas Eve and hear this song everytime. Yes, at times I've hummed the tune and even once or twice have sung it on the walk. It sounds even better if there's a light snowfall and around midnight when it's quiet!
ReplyDeleteIt just seems like an appropriate song for the season. Sharon
Little Drummer Boy by the Harry Simeon Chorale. That has to be the prettiest song at Christmas time!
ReplyDeleteMy absolute favorite song is and always has been Silent Night.

Ok,it's not well known, but my fave song is "Les Cloches du Hammeau' sung by Celline Dion and her family.
